GENESIS x STORY
Mainly known for her work as a screenwriter on American television series (The Leftovers, City On A Hill), Tamara P. Carter is a New York-born writer-director. After releasing Hellbound in 2015 (a BBC produced documentary starring Slipknot), she launched into the making of a more personal film work: The Paris Project. Developed as a pilot episode, this drama tells the story of a Brooklyn-based artist who leaves his homeland and ties to start a new life in Paris.
I enjoyed working with such a brillant and inventive artist in 2016 on this experimental film that she carried out with conviction and passion from New York to Paris. First, Tamara wanted me to play the part of Enzo, the heroine's girlfriend (what I did!). But it's above all our collaboration during post-production that I appreciated the most. Being chosen as editor of this very intimate work made me proud. Especially since it's about the author's own roots and backstory.
